Funding worth a total of £12,368 was dispensed to a range of local groups and projects at the Hillhead of Auquhirie Wind Farm Community Fund Awards . Group representatives attended to receive funding to support a wide range of projects and groups in the area of benefit. Successful applicants this round included: Arbuthnott Parish Church, Auchenblae Pre School Group, Catkins Football Club, Catterline Gala Committee, Kinneff Old Church Preservation Trust, Marykirk Outdoor Bowling Club, Mearns Pre School, Panthers Basketball Club, Stonehaven Fireballs Association and Stonehaven and District Talking Newspaper Association.
The awards evening was hosted by the Arbuthnott Hall and organised by the Kincardineshire Development Partnership (KDP). Cheques and certificates were then presented by Angus Robertson on behalf of Grange Windfarm Ltd. The Hillhead of Auquhirie Wind Farm Community Fund will open again for new applications on April 1, 2019.

Cour Windfarm Limited has supported the Tarbert Book Festival in 2018 for a third year. Writers in attendance included Professor Joseph Farrell, Les Wilson, Denise Mina, Olga Wojtas and Struan Stevenson MEP. Local writers were also recognised and a creative writing workshop was delivered by Anne Hamilton. Angus Robertson was delighted to be invited along to present the prizes for the Writing Competition on behalf of Cour Windfarm Ltd.
The Grange Windfarm Community Benefit Fund is pleased to announce a grant of £2088 for the refurbishment of the Flixborough Disaster Memorial. The Flixborough disaster was an explosion at a chemical plant close to the village of Flixborough, North Lincolnshire, England on Saturday, 1 June 1974. It killed 28 people and seriously injured 36 out of a total of 72 people on site at the time. The local parish church council wish to refurbish the memorial in time for the 45th anniversary in 2019. The project will start soon on a number of works which will include better interpretation via information boards.

We have also sent out over 220 letters to householders with the Beinneun Winter Fuel Allowance area. The letter contains an application form and details the evidence you will require to submit your claim for £250 towards your energy bill. We are aware, that as we are using the Open Electoral Register, not all households that are eligible may get a letter.
