Why besci?

BESCI has been developed by Blue Energy and partner organisations in response to three main drivers:

• The scale of the available funding and the opportunity to make a real difference in our host communities by developing projects that satisfy our core and transparent objectives;

• Given the scale of the funding commitments and our fiduciary obligations, the desire to create a highly innovative, low cost centre of excellence that will deliver significant economies of scale and increase the funding that is available for all of our host communities; and

• Crucially, the desire to provide a truly independent, apolitical and standalone vehicle that will listen to the aspirations and work in close collaboration with the broadest possible cross sections of our host communities.
