Blue Energy

Blue Energy is one of the UK’s leading investors and developers of renewable energy infrastructure, with a commitment to long-term investment in the sector.

We finance, build and operate projects up to utility scale and take a pragmatic approach to project development, procurement and asset ownership. It is our aim to operate and invest in a variety of clean technologies in order to make a significant contribution to the UK meeting future renewable energy and carbon reduction targets.

Blue Energy invest in a wide variety of renewable energy projects across the world including wind and solar and increasingly on a larger scale. Recent projects include Africa’s largest solar plant and the acquisition and construction of over 250MW since 2015, investing more than £300/400m in our wind development portfolio.

Cooler Projects

Cooler Projects is a Community Interest Company dedicated to ‘ideas, advocacy and action for a low carbon future’. It has been commissioned by Blue Energy to advise them on how best to establish BESCI. A Cooler Director will sit on BESCI’s Board.

Cooler co-ordinate the Carbon Literacy Project and its Directors have a lot of experience in the business and voluntary sectors. More detail on the Carbon Literacy Project and its connection to BESCI’s work can be found here
